Blue Like Jazz.

I can't wait to see this movie. I just started reading Donald Miller's book: Blue Like Jazz.

In the Christian world, I am about ten years late...but anyway, it is enlightening.

"The genius of the American System is not freedom; the genius of the American system is checks and balances. Nobody gets all the power. It is as if the founding fathers know, intrinsically, that the soul of man, unwatched, is perverse."

  1. Okay, so after you finish Blue Like Jazz you need to read A Million Miles in a Thousand Years which he wrote after they worked on writing the movie version of Blue Like Jazz-- it inspired all kinds of things in Donald Miller around the concept of story and how to live a good story--it is fantastic. My favorite book of his. Through Painted Deserts and Searching for God Knows What are also great.
